The Raw and Resilient Path of Nikole Cassin

Hello, I'm Nikole Cassin. At the age of 37, I stand before you as a multifaceted individual—a devoted mother to three wonderful sons, a loving wife, a dynamic founder and director of three thriving companies, add to this a wannabe podcaster, and a passionate speaker and facilitator. My life, rich in its tapestry of experiences, embodies a journey of profound highs and lows, each moment weaving into the fabric of my identity and purpose. Through this blog, I aim to peel back the layers of my life, offering you an unguarded glimpse into my world, with hopes to inspire and empower you all while you all empower and motivate me!

A Journey Marked by Contrast

My childhood was blessed in many ways yet cursed in others. I grew up in the bush at Ripley before the beautiful space became the jungle of houses and over development that it is today! Back when we had surroundings of bush that we used to drive my brothers beat up sigma in...I remember we would chain the bonnet to the back and take friends 'bonnet sliding' something that i now would never allow my own sons to do! I have vivid memories of taking my first drive in that old $150 car where I had it sideways around the track in the bush scaring the life out of my brothers friend who was in the passenger seat. My mum worked alot, usually 2-3 jobs and she worked hard. I encountered a sadness in my childhood that has shaped me to who I am today through abuse that has always been denied of me. I know the truth and I know the pain and trauma that has given me my entire life so I hold it and learn and heal on my own journey. 

The trajectory of my life shifted dramatically through a series of formative events. The loss of my brother in a tragic accident when I was 14 and the subsequent upheaval in my family life that same year . No parent should ever lose a child, and when they do in my experience it isn't just the lose of that family member its the destruction and the breakdown of an entire family dynamic. This time marked the beginning of a tumultuous period filled with pain and introspection. These events didn't just end there, throughout the further years I suddenly lost my father on the night I was being proposed to - and that proposal led to a marriage that didn't survive and consequently a traumatic and ugly divorce filled with many lessons. This coupled with personal and professional crises I then experiences shortly after in my late 20s, including a harrowing experience with the mental health system, forced me to confront the depths of my unresolved trauma and the reality of my lost sense of self. this is something I have realised I will face and work through for many many more years as I try to navigate the learnt behaviours that are unhealthy, rewire my coping mechanisms, to be able to grieve in a healthier manner for all that has happened on the journey to get here. 

From Adversity to Advocacy

Navigating through life's obstacles, I unearthed my profound ability to resonate with people, leading with compassion and turning trials into opportunities for advocacy and impactful change. This journey of discovery wasn't just about overcoming; it was about finding my voice in the cacophony of societal norms and expectations, and using it to lead, inspire, and innovate.

My tenure in the property sector laid the foundational stones of what would become a distinguished career in entrepreneurship. It was here that I honed my skills in strategic thinking and leadership, which would later fuel my ventures outside the conventional business realms. The inception of a community-centric company, which has now achieved remarkable annual revenue, stands as a testament to my resilience, innovative spirit, and unwavering commitment to making a difference.

Yet, my accolades—such as being recognised as "The Most Innovative Supported Care Provider in Australia in 2023,Australian business Elite 40 under 40 amongst other proud achievements in the last 24 months as well as receiving keynote invitations from influential platforms—while gratifying, are but milestones in a journey that transcends professional success. It's a voyage marked by a relentless pursuit of authenticity, a bravery in facing vulnerabilities head-on, and a life enriched by deep, meaningful connections.

Today, I am driven by a mission far greater than my individual achievements. I seek to empower others to navigate their own paths of self-discovery, to break through the barriers of self-doubt and societal constraints, and to embrace their true potential.
